Tea culture
Although some important tea blends are cultivated with Java and Sumatra, there is nothing like an Indonesian tea culture, as it was not able to develop.
One rather finds a mixture of different tea cultures and tea ceremonies. Therefore it is possible, depending on the region, to find a Japanese and Chinese tea culture or to watch a tea ceremony obviously influenced by India. Even European influences, mainly from the Netherlands and England, can be found everywhere on the Indonesian islands.
